1) Chips: A chip or group of chips on the surface of a structural pane that are more than 0.015 in. (0.381 mm) in depth are a cause for the removal of the windshield.
2) A chip or group of chips that decreases the visual quality on a pane of the windshield is a cause for the removal of the windshield.
3) The outer glass pane is non-structural. Unless chips decrease the visual quality, they are permitted.
B、Delamination(分层)
(a) Replace the windshield if the delamination decreases the visual quality.
NOTE: Delamination can result in moisture ingress which can cause arcing and pane cracks. The recommended limit for delamination in a windshield is 2.0 in. (50.8 mm) from the edge of the windshield frame.
C、Scratches(划痕)
(a) The inner glass pane is structural. Replace the windshield if the inner glass pane has a scratch with a depth more than 0.015 in. (0.381 mm).
1) Use optical COM-2039 micrometer ( accuracy +/-.0002 Inch) or equivalent

to measure the depth of the scratches. It is necessary to use the COM-4786 optical micrometer processor/printer with the optical COM-2039 micrometer ( accuracy +/-.0002 Inch) .
(b) A scratch or group of scratches that decreases the visual quality on a pane of the windshield is a cause for the removal of the windshield.
(c) The outer glass pane is non-structural. Unless scratches decrease the visual quality, they are permitted.
D、Arcing(通电时出现电弧)
Replace the windshield if there are indications of arcing (NO. 1 WINDOW - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION, PAGEBLOCK 56-11-11/401).
E、Bubbles(起泡)
Replace the windshield if the bubbles decrease the visual quality or bubbles are black or dark brown in color (NO. 1 WINDOW - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION, PAGEBLOCK 56-11-11/401).
NOTE:
Tong Marks can be found on the non-structural outer glass panes and are not a cause for a removal.

F、Cracks(裂纹)
(a)Examine the windshield for cracks:
Replace the windshield if cracks are found in any glass pane (NO. 1 WINDOW - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION, PAGEBLOCK 56-11-11/401).
(b) Replace the windshield if you find cracks in the vinyl interlayer (Examples: Figure 612, Reference Not Currently Available, Reference Not Currently Available, Figure 613, Figure 611).
(c) It is recommended to repair the aerodynamic smoother if cracked, eroded or loose (FLIGHT COMPARTMENT WINDOWS - REPAIRS, PAGEBLOCK 56-11-00/801).

1) Replace the window if an in-plane crack extends more than 0.400 in. (10.160 mm) from the window edge.
(c) Examine the rabbet edge of the window:
1) Replace or repair the rabbet edge if an in-plane crack extends more than 0.05 in. (1.27 mm) from the rabbet edge
