教材分析

This is the second part in this unit. The topic of this lesson is talking about where things are.This part focuses on talking about the objects in one’s room. This content has high relevance to students’ daily life.

课前准备

教学过程

Step 1. Warm-up

1. Describe the things on your desk

Teacher shows some objects like pen/ruler/key…and ask students put the same thing on the same position. Then each student have 2 minutes to describe the things on their desk in complete sentences.

Model: A:This is my pen. It’s on the desk. B:This is my ruler. It’s under the book. C:These are my books. They are in my backpack.

D:These are my keys. They are near the books. E: …… Teacher ask one row of students to say out their sentences.

【设计意图】

学生在section A 部分已经学习了一些物品的名称和表方位的几个介词的用法,此处的复习让学生捡起所学并为后续活动扫清障碍。

Step 2.

1. Teacher show students a picture and ask them to find out some objects in Tom’s room.

.radio ____ . clock ____ . Tape player ____ . model plane _____ . tape ____ . hat _____ 2. Teacher ask students to look at the picture again and write down all the things they can remember.

3. Teacher tell students that Tom left some objects at home so he has to call

her mom and ask her to bring it to him. Then ask students listen to the tape and circle the things he wants.

English books tape player clock ruler notebook tape model plane radio 4. Teacher ask students to listen again and find out where Tom’s things are and write them down.

The English books are under the radio. The ruler is on the bed. The notebook is under the plane in the bookcase. The tape is in the tape player. 5. Play a game

Show students two pictures and ask them to find out the differences between them.

In Picture 1, the … is … In Picture 2, it’s … In Picture 1, the …s are … In Picture 2, they’re …

【设计意图】

听力和后续的游戏环节让学生在轻松的环境下进行输入输出的学习,效率高且极大调动学生积极性。

Step 3. Reading

1. Ask students to start a memory challenge: show a picture to them and ask them try to remember the objects in it

2. Ask students to look at the passage in 2b then answer the question “Is Kate tidy or Gina tidy?”

3. Teacher ask students to read the passage again and complete the chart about the things Kate and Gina have and where they are.

4. Show students some new words in this passage.

tidy /ˈtaɪdi/ but /bʌt, bət/ our /ɑ:(r) , aʊ(r)/ everywhere

/ˈevriweə(r)/ always /ˈɔ:lweɪz/ 5. Teacher ask students to do a survey: Do you have these things in your room?

Then ask students write about where the things are in their room and use the word “and”.

1) My dictionary and my radio are on the desk. 2) My pencil box is in my schoolbag and my schoolbag is under the desk. 3) … 【设计意图】

通过阅读文章创建情境让学生在情境中进行输入,巩固所学。

Step 4. Language points

1. show some important points to students

1). ★ and 在句中可连接两个并列的单词、短语或句子,常译为“和;而且;并且;同时”等。

Mary and Cindy are my friends. 玛丽和辛迪都是我的朋友。 2). ★ but/bʌt/conj. 但是;表转折关系。 Our room is small, but very clean. 我们的房间小,但是很干净。 3). ★ Gina’s books are everywhere ... 吉娜的书到处都是…… everywhere由“every + where”构成,意为“处处;到处;各个地方”,相当于here and there。 2. Ask students do a self-check: find out the phrases in the passage quickly.

1) 在我们的房间 2) 在书柜里 3) 在我的书包里 4) 在她的床上 5) 在沙发上

6) 在椅子下面 7) 在桌子下面 …

【设计意图】

语法点的讲解让学生对课文中出现的短语句子等进一步了解,提高学生的水平。

Step 5. Homework

1. 读记课文中的重要词汇和短语。

2. 跟读磁带,复习reading,可根据课后的表格提示,尝试着复述课文。

【设计意图】

作业是课堂学习的延伸,是对课堂所学的技能很好的综合检测。与所学主题相关的作业可以让学生将所用到实际中去。

教学反思

本节课内容相对较为容易,要注意上课时不要让学生失去挑战性。
