I used to be a very irrational consumer. I would often buy things on impulse without really thinking about whether or not I needed them. I would also spend a lot of money on things that I knew I couldn't afford, just because I wanted them.

One example of my irrational spending was when I bought a designer handbag that cost over $1,000. I knew that I couldn't really afford it, but I wanted it so badly that I convinced myself that it was worth the money. I ended up regretting the purchase later on, when I realized that I could have used that money for more important things, like paying off my student loans.

Another example of my irrational spending was when I went on a shopping spree with my friends. We went to the mall and I ended up buying a bunch of clothes that I didn't

really need. I just wanted to fit in with my friends and show off my new outfits. But once I got home and tried everything on, I realized that I didn't really like half of the things that I had bought. I had just wasted a lot of money on things that I didn't even want.

Overall, my irrational spending habits caused me a lot of stress and anxiety. I was always worried about money and how I was going to pay for everything. It wasn't until I started budgeting and being more mindful of my spending that I was able to break free from this cycle.
