Why to live
Flowers live for beautifying the world. Birds live for making charming music. Trees live for decreasing the pollution. All of these show that each kind of creatures lives for its own reason. So why do we human beings live? We have different responses in different periods in our life.
For most of us, since we were born, we have possessed a pair of eyes to enjoy the beauty, a pair of ears to hear and a mouth to cry and laugh. It seems that we lived just for receiving at that time.
As time went by, we grew up gradually and most of us became aware that what could accuse ourselves while what couldn’t, which made us select what we like but exclude what we dislike, even though we couldn’t distinguish truth from falsehood clearly.
After entering school, we began to realize the importance of studying for the reason that not only did our parents and teachers place high hopes on us, but also the competition at school made us motivated. Consequently, we tried our best to get a good grade at
first. However, afterward, who felt exhausted would give up and chase meaningless fun.
Having graduated, it is the reality that we chase to make more money and lead a happier and more relaxed life.
It’s hard to clarify what everybody lives for. But you will find that a brilliant life must accompany contributing.
Actually, we have been contributing since our birth. When we were babies, we made lovely voice and moving memories for our parents, like poems. As we grew, our parents told us to share good things with others, which was a way to contribute. At school, we devoted us to studying at pain to reward our parents’ and teachers’ absolute efforts. After setting food in society, we begin to work hard to support our family and feedback our parents and nation, in consequence of which we will achieve a lot.
It is often said that nothing is as popular as goodness. For us human beings, the most prized thing is not a great deal of wealth or a powerful right but a devoted heart and ceaseless efforts. The value of
one’s life is measured and reflected according to how much he or she has brought about instead of how much one possesses. Do you still remember Stephen Hawking? Due to an awful disease, he lost his ability to move casually. But as is well known, he was devoted to science and gained high respect. His behavior inspires us spiritually to be brave when facing difficulties, keep going forward and always have the sense of contributing. He explained deeply why a people lived. Thanks to the absolute contributions from the pioneers, we are able to lead a digital and peaceful life, which makes many people break away from poverty and cruel wars.
Believe me that you may be happier than princes if you are more virtuous. Because of your contributions, not only will you get more motivated, but also our society will be full of harmony. That’s why we live.
