3.would you like your English teachers to correct your errors more or less?and how to correct your errors.
A1:Good morning ,teachers! I’m very glad to stand here having a discussion with my parteners.And today, our topic is about you like your english teachers to correct your errors more or less and how to correct your errors. you say first ,is that ok?
A2:Of course,teacher should point out errors in the class as much as possible.Because Students have rights to know whether he is correct or not.And only in this way, students can learn somethings what they authentically should to do.But there is an question is that how to tell students that they have make some mistake.If the wrong way,students will reduce their confidence in class. So,teacher should know how to deal with that.
A3:yeah.I would like my English teacher to correct my errors more often. As for me, when teacher correct my errors in the class when I make mistakes, that will impress me a lot, and I will determine not to commit the type of the mistake. Though the teacher correcting my errors, I will understand why I am wrong, and what I learn from the mistake.
A4:you are right.I am convienced that it is important to correct students' errors. fisrstly,during the processing of study,every student should understand that making mistake is normal. it doesn't ashamed when making mistakes . in addition ,the methods of correcting errors is also significant. when i was in high school my English teacher use a efficient way to correct our problems . When we hand in our homework,Mr.Zhang will correct and point out the mistakes we made,however ,she doesn't tell us the right answer .what we should do is correct it by ourselves firstly.if we can't get the right answer ,she will explain it to us. after her interpretation ,we should strengthen the knowledge point after class. Though that way ,we can have a deep impression of the knowledge and it also can protect the proper respect . correct
mistakes in time is important , however we should also use proper way considering the proper respect every students owing.
A1:Yes,you are right.from my perspective I do appreciate the teachers ,who always correct our errors and help us build our confidence. For example,my college English teacher is very nice as Mrs.Collins. I always made some foolish mistakes in class , but she always patiently helped me analyze the reasons why I made mistakes and corrected them rather than criticizing me. In this way, i was very relaxed and willing to ask my teacher a lot of questions,and i didn’t feel stressed at all. Then i can learn English with high efficiency. Were there no a good teacher always correct our errors ,we never know the true ways of learning English.
A3: i agree with you.I think the teacher should provide as more as possible chance to students to let the students ask all kinds of questions to boost their interest for English. The teacher should listen the question carefully, and help the students find the errors themselves and analysis the cause.then , the teacher should motivate the all students correct the errors commonly to let the student ponder which can motivate the students' curious about the learning.
A2:i think when correcting written work, focus on the mistakes, covering students’ work with crossings out and underlines.Don’t write encouraging comments because the mistake doesn’t deserve encouragement.No need to discriminate major and minor errors.all errors should be careful. And sometimes,just give a clue or hint to student so that they can find their mistakes.
Finally tell the student, sensitively, that he or she has made a mistake. Just as: OK ,very good ,but there is a mistake in your sentence. Maybe you should try to in this way.
