基数词与序数词专项练习
基数用于表示数量多少，而基数词用于表示次序，常在日期中出现。区别：基数词前面没有“the”；序数词前一定要有“the”。
一、知识归纳
①基数词变序数词的规律：
一、二、三、特殊记(first, second, third)。
八减t,九去e,（如：eighth, ninth）, f 来把ve替。（如：twelfth）.
单词ty作结尾，ty变成tie(如：twentieth).
若是碰到几十几，只变个位就可以。（如：twenty-first）
②1-100的序数词：
1st--first；2nd--second；3rd--third；4th--fourth；5th--fifth；6th--sixth；7th--seventh；8th--eighth；9th--ninth；10th--tenth；11th--eleventh；12th--twelfth；20th--twentieth；21st--twenty-first；22nd--twenty-second；29th--twenty-ninth；30th--thirtieth；31st--thirty-first；40th--fortieth；50th--fiftieth；60th--sixtieth；70th--seventieth；80th--eightieth；90th--ninetieth；100th—hundredth
2. 序数词的用途

a. 用来表示时间 ，表示年月日： “年”用基数词，“日用序数词”。例如：
例如：2008年2月28日可以表示为February 28th, 2007
表日期的时候 It’s the 16th of October= It’s October 16th。
表示时刻的话，A）直接读写数词。如：9:15 nine fifteen ， 10:30 ten thirty ， 11:45 eleven forty-five ，7:05 seven o five ， 2:25 two twenty-five ， 5:55 five fifty-five
B）借助past和to来表达。past一般用于30分钟以内（含30分钟）的时间表达；to一般用于超过30分钟的时间表达。一刻钟可以用a quarter表示，半小时可以用half表示。如：9:15 a quarter past nine ， 10:30 half past ten，11:45 a quarter to twelve ，7:05 five past seven ， 5:55 five to six
b. 用来表示顺序 例如：He is always the first to come to school.
表示事物的编号：如： the ninth part = part nine 第九部分
the Fourth Lesson = Lesson Four 第四课 the sixth paragraph= paragraph six 第六段
c. 用来表示楼层 例如：He lives on the fourth floor。

d、表示“加减乘除”：
15+2=？ How much is fifteen plus two? 8-7=? How much is eight minus seven?

e、用数词表示分数时，分子用基数词，分母用序数词；如果分子大于1，分母要用复数。 1/2: one-second 3/4 three-fourths, 2/5 two-fifths.
f、读小数时，数字只用基数词： 3.4 读作：three point four 0.2读作zero point two
g．一百是a hundred 两百是two hundred ，几百是hundreds of
