摘要： Method and apparatus for producing a molten material (42) from minerals and/ or raw materials, preferably for the manufacture of mineral wool. The process is carriedout in a treatment furnace (10, 26) which is equipped at a first location with an adjustablefeed opening (24) for raw material in piece (18) and a second location (26) an inletopening for a treatment gas which is heated by a plasma in a plasma generator (32) at anelevated temperature. A mixing chamber (38) is provided for receiving the process gasprior to admission into the furnace. A plurality of supply devices (45, 46, 48) arrive in themixing chamber (38) and through which a fraction of fine particulate material, a solid fuelof waste material can be introduced into the mixing chamber. A recirculation pipe (50) isprovided for the recovery of discharge gas from the upper part of the furnace (16) andtowards the plasma generator (32).
