PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file management program with which imagedata recorded in photographic equipment such as a digital camera or media for digitalcameras can be aligned and recorded in the other storage means.
SOLUTION: The file management program is provided for functioning a computer as adefinition information reading means 6 for reading predetermined meaning pre-definedinformation such as date-and-time information recorded or attached to a file of a specificform such as DCF form or DPOF form and as a folder name generating means 7 forgenerating a folder name of a folder for managing the file of the specific form accordingto predetermined rules. The name of the folder is automatically generated on the basisof the definition information in the file and the file is recorded in the folder, therebymanaging a number of image data recorded in various kinds of photographic equipment,media or information recording media totally in a structure easy to utilize.
