菊花读后感

To be honest, it’s hard for me to imagine how tough that women’s life could be in a male-dominated society. Because I never lived in such an era. It need a lot of research to understand Elisa completely, and now what I have done is just a sand in the desert. What I can do is just try to feel her feeling. After reading, I could felt her desire and disappointed after her dream was broken.

She is a industrious and warm-hearted woman who made their house hard-swept looking with hard-polished windows, and a clean mud-mat on the front steps. And when the mender came to her house she helped him and gave him 50 cents. The most important characteristic of Elisa was her chrysanthemum fate. Like her, the chrysanthemums were so docile under Elise’s strong hands. The flowers were controlled and owned by her, and she was also under the rule of men.

Although she wanted to get along with the world outside, but she failed like chrysanthemums were thrown on the side of the road. Women still could not control their own life.
