# However, some people believe that crimes cannot be eliminated, if we look into
the underlying causes of this problem. For example, in many countries, the gap between the rich and poor is widening, which is responsible for many economic and violent crimes. Poor people may choose to steal or rob, because they think the gap is unjustified. In addition, studies show that a small portion of people have anti-social personality due to their genes or the environment in which they grow. It is difficult to identify these people and stop them from committing crimes.
