摘要：A system for bypass control within a transmission oil cooler of U-flow design ina motor vehicle is disclosed. In particular, the system provides for a thermostat
configured to selectively bypass transmission fluid directly from an inlet tank to an outlet
tank of the transmission oil cooler in response to a temperature difference within thetanks relative a predefined threshold. The thermostat includes a thermal-sensitiveelement, such as a bimetal strip, that has one end bendable at a predetermined rate in apredetermined direction in response to a temperature difference between the inlet andoutlet tanks of the transmission oil cooler.
