近日，美国留学签证传来一大利好消息，美国对留学生签证有效期从以往的1年延长至5年，最直接得利的留学生以后都可以减少续签风险，留学签证新政策的启动将大大鼓舞了一众有意前往美国留学的学子。虽说新政提供极大的便利，但对于第一次签证美国留学的同学还是需要认真准备的，以下是常见面前提问，供同学们参考。

资金类问题：

1.你在美国的学费和生活费是多少?

答：需要将I-20表格上的数字搞清楚，如果连学费都不知道的学生，学习目的肯定有问题。

2.你的父亲(母亲)在什么地方工作?

答：由此来判断家庭资金情况，当然还有家庭背景。曾经有一个学生回答的时候讲，我的父亲是一个生化公司的老总，签证官顿时紧张起来。要知道，美国是个发生过恐怖袭击的国家，对生化这样的词很敏感。不过学生很聪明，看出了签证官的疑惑，马上补充到，他们只生产化肥和农药。

3.你父母的年收入有多少?

答：这样的问题不需要回答的很精确，但是要给出一个大概的数字，然后可以把父母工作收入证明给签证官看。如果回答和提供的证明差异很大，很容易让签证官认为证明是假的。这也提醒签证者，要对自己所有的资料都很熟悉才可以。

学习类问题：

1.你为什么选择XXXX University 来读书?

答：这是个老生常谈的问题，关键点在于对学校特色和优势的了解，着重从专业的角度去说明，比如学校的课程特色、师资力量等等。回答问题一定要建立在了解的基础上，宁可少说，不要乱说。曾经有学生被问到为什么选择新墨西哥大学，学生随口答到学校景色优美，气候宜人。签证官不屑地摇了摇头说：“据我所知那里环境不怎么样，我认为你在说谎。” 这说明学生对学校根本不了解。

2.你的学习计划和职业目标是什么?

答：由这个问题判断学习目的是否清楚和纯粹。曾经有位学TESOL的同学被问到这个问题，他没有经过思考就回答：“我希望能够利用我的汉语优势，成为一名教授外国人中文的老师。”这马上让签证官怀疑他要滞留在美国工作，因此惨遭拒签。回答签证问题要有一个底线，就是学成要回国，而不是滞留在美国，因为F1学生签证是非移民签证。如果说签证是个游戏，那么这就是最基本的游戏规则。

3.为什么你从XXXX专业换到YYYY专业?

这个问题同样是考察学生学习的目的性，尽量从兴趣爱好和回国职业发展的角度来回答这个问题。最大的忌讳就是把以前学的专业批判的一无是处，深恶痛绝，所以才换到这个专

业。这样的回答会让签证官觉得你的选择是非理性的，因此也很容易厌烦将来要学的专业。当然，也不要“急功近利”，一个学生从计算机换到了金融专业，回答这个问题的时候，一味强调金融挣钱多，可以进入投资银行工作。要知道，在中国还没有真正意义上的投资银行，签证官怀疑他学习的动机，以及滞留在美国的可能性，因此拒绝给他发放签证。

第三项资料是学术资料，这部分资料是很重要的，包括大学时期的学习资 料，如成绩单、毕业证、学位证、TOEFL成绩单、GRE成绩单和个人简历等，还包括未来学习的资料，如赴美学习计划、就读学校与专业介绍、未来导师与研究方向的介绍等等。这部分材料看上去不复杂，却是签证提问过程中最容易被问到的部分，因为通过这部分资料可判断签证申请者未来的发展和滞留在美国的可能性。
