摘要：The present invention discloses a method, system and apparatus for filteringpackets. The method includes: the MGC sets the packet filtering information thatuniquely identifies the basic characteristics of a media stream in an IPv6-based packetheader; as an apparatus for filtering packets, the MG uses the packet filtering
information sent by the MGC to filter packets for the media streams when transferringthe media streams. The method, system and apparatus enable packet filtering for themedia streams in an IPv6-based PS network; moreover, the filtering conditions in thepacket filtering information in the present invention are triplet information that uniquelyidentifies the basic characteristics of a media stream and can be obtained from the IPv6packet header, thus reducing the complexity of the packet filtering process.
